The Moon is full, and is surrounded by a halo of silver. My use of iridescent pastels in this show is to convey the spiritual, unseen aspect of something, and in this case that is the mystery of moonlight, the way the Moon is tangled up with us in ways we can’t fully comprehend. It’s as if her light has grown roots and reaches into the waters of the Earth, which are of course also embedded in our bodies. The Moon calls to the water, and stirs it like a cauldron of enchantment.
