Jewels of Winter Shimmering Card

The thing I love about Winter is the light, its rarity, the way it glints and shimmers off of every surface that catches it: water, frost, ice, and snow; but also the glossy leaves of rhododendron and pine, the stones, the small buds of the birches. It’s as if there is too much light, and hardly any leaves to drink it, and so it scatters itself through the prism of the forest, or upon the surface of the creek, waiting to be swallowed, by a leaf, a birdwing, an eye.
