I live at the foot of Mount Mitchell, the highest peak east of the Mississippi. Living here I feel the subtle yet powerful influence of this great mountain on my spirit, and I am filled with reverence and gratitude for her presence. This painting is my homage to that mountain and her sisters. Together they make up the Black Mountain Range, and in spring they put on their green dresses and dance with life.
