The Moon is full, and is surrounded by a halo of silver. My use of iridescent pastels in this piece is to convey the spiritual, unseen aspect of something, and in this case that is the mystery of the presence of the Moon, the way she is tangled up with us in ways we can’t fully comprehend. Her light has grown roots that reach into the waters of the Earth, which are of course also embedded in our bodies. The Moon calls to the water, calls to us, and stirs us like her own cauldron of enchantment.
